Context Informed Practice
A therapist is a game-changer, so I believe, and therapy happens within context. We teach and study music therapy, we practice our profession, and conduct our professional global community within a multi-cultural world, at times of rapid shifts in context. How important it is to maintain a keen awareness of the culture and context, not giving in to deeply-rooted conventions. The two works presented here address not only specific Jewish and Arab issues; they also encourage readers to explore similar complexity in their near environment and cultures.
